Role Purpose
This role supports the Student Wellness and Advocacy Office (SWAO) in delivering health and wellness programmes. It combines administration, coordination, and student engagement, focusing on awareness campaigns and peer education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate health & wellness campaigns and activities
- Provide administrative and operational support to SWAO
- Manage:
- Meeting logistics
- Diary scheduling
- Venue bookings
- Procurement processes
- Maintain stock records and monthly reports
- Facilitate and coordinate peer educator training
- Conduct data capturing, analysis, and reporting
- Assist with events, guests, and campus engagements
- Travel between UFS campuses when required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Valid driver’s licence
Recommended (Advantageous)
- 1 year relevant experience
- Knowledge of:
- HIV/AIDS & Sexual Reproductive Health
- Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
- Mental Health & Substance Abuse
- Experience in:
- Higher education or healthcare environments
- Peer education programmes
- Handling confidential records
- Ability to speak English + another African language
- Residence in or near Qwaqwa

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: R240,866 – R403,692 per annum
