Job Description
The Construction Artisan will assist with roofing installations, maintenance and repair work, particularly roof sheeting and roof structures. The role also involves ceiling-related tasks, handling construction materials, operating basic tools and providing general support on construction sites.
The ideal candidate must have solid practical roofing experience, be physically fit and understand the importance of following health and safety procedures, especially when working at heights.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of roof sheeting.
Perform maintenance and repairs on roof structures.
Carry out ceiling-related work.
Provide general construction support on site.
Handle construction materials and use basic tools.
Work safely at heights while following health and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
Contribute to quality building and maintenance projects.
Requirements
Trade Certificate or Artisan qualification.
5–7 years of practical roofing experience.
Strong experience in roof sheeting installation.
Knowledge and understanding of roofing maintenance and repairs.
Good understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
Ability to work safely at heights.
Physical fitness to perform manual construction tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, motivated and dependable approach to work.
