Position Overview
The Faculty Manager: Education is a senior academic leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of academic policies, maintaining high-quality teaching and learning standards, managing academic staff performance, supporting student success initiatives, and overseeing the operational effectiveness of Education programmes.
The position provides leadership to Programme Coordinators, Lecturers, Tutors, and Independent Contractors while ensuring compliance with higher education regulations and institutional quality standards.
Main Purpose of the Position
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and monitor teaching and learning within the Education Faculty.
- Ensure academic quality and student success.
- Conduct lecturer evaluations and peer reviews.
- Support lecturer development and performance improvement.
- Manage faculty resources and staffing requirements.
- Analyse academic results and implement interventions.
- Coordinate programme delivery and academic operations.
- Promote a positive academic culture on campus.
- Ensure compliance with higher education regulations and institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Support and Quality Assurance
Academic Development
- Monitor academic performance across Education programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Evaluate academic outcomes and programme effectiveness.
- Implement interventions to improve student achievement.
Lecturer Peer Reviews
- Conduct lecturer classroom observations.
- Evaluate teaching quality and effectiveness.
- Provide developmental feedback and coaching.
- Monitor implementation of lecturer improvement plans.
Faculty Performance Monitoring
- Analyse faculty performance indicators.
- Track lecturer effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Evaluate academic quality standards.
- Prepare performance reports and recommendations.
Learning Management Systems
- Monitor effective use of digital learning platforms.
- Ensure lecturers engage students through learning technologies.
- Support adoption of educational technology tools.
Class Visits and Evaluations
- Conduct structured classroom observations.
- Assess teaching methodologies and classroom engagement.
- Review learning outcomes and teaching quality.
- Support teaching excellence initiatives.
Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET)
- Oversee student feedback processes.
- Analyse lecturer evaluation results.

Minimum Qualifications
