Objective:
Establish a 5-year contract for the supply, delivery, servicing, and calibration of custom mould hearing protection devices, ensuring employee safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Scope of Work
- Casting, measurement, and onsite fitment of hearing protection devices.
- Annual servicing, including filter replacement.
- Calibration and testing to maintain compliance with standards.
- Onsite demonstrations and employee training on device usage and care.
- Contract management over 5 years, including meetings, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
Technical Requirements
- Devices must meet specified quality and safety standards.
- Onsite casting, measurement, and fitment at Lethabo Power Station.
- Annual calibration/testing and filter replacement.
- All devices must be accompanied by supporting documentation, e.g., test certificates and measurement methods.
- Adherence to Eskom and statutory health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Skills & Competence Required
- Audiologists or hearing protection specialists with proven experience (minimum 1 year; 2–8 years preferred).
- Technical personnel skilled in casting, fitment, calibration, and testing.
- Experience in managing long-term service contracts and compliance monitoring.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, e.g., ISO 9001, SATS 1286:2011.
- Strong capability in employee training and documentation management.
