Job Description
VKB Group is looking for a proactive and responsible Branch Marketer to join the NTK Retail branch in Lindley.
The position carries significant operational responsibility and serves as a second-in-charge role, supporting the Branch Manager and taking the lead when the manager is unavailable. The successful candidate will help manage branch operations, staff, stock, sales, customer service and marketing activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
The Branch Marketer will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the day-to-day supervision of branch operations.
- Ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with company policies.
- Supporting the Branch Manager with sales, expense and budget monitoring.
- Managing stock ordering, merchandising and stock control.
- Handling cashier cash-ups and stocktaking.
- Managing the animal feed store.
- Performing general administrative duties.
- Managing and controlling fuel-related activities.
- Supporting staff training and development.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Resolving customer queries and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and legislative requirements.
- Driving marketing initiatives and promotional activities to improve branch performance.
- Performing ad hoc duties as required.
- Taking responsibility for branch operations and providing leadership when the Branch Manager is absent.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Matric / NQF Level 4.
- A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
- 2–3 years’ experience in agricultural retail.
- Experience with irrigation systems, including:
- Pump sizing and selection.
- Garden layout design.
- Irrigation layout design.
- Experience in the hardware and construction industry, including:
- Paint mixing.
- Customer service.
- Preparing quotations from building and construction plans.
- Experience with animal health products and veterinary medicine.
- Knowledge of AFCASA and similar animal-health products.
- Knowledge of active ingredients, product applications and usage recommendations.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn, develop and occasionally work after hours.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
