This is a freelance IT field-support role providing onsite “Hands & Feet” technical assistance to a Remote Support Team.

Job Description
1. Hands & Feet (H&F) Support
-
Provide physical onsite assistance for remote troubleshooting
-
Connect to network devices (switches/routers/firewalls) via console
-
Open racks and locate equipment as instructed
-
Perform power cycling when directed
-
Provide visual verification (LED status, link status, alarms, cabling condition)
2. Network Hands & Feet Responsibilities
The engineer must be able to:

Identify network devices and ports
-
Recognise power supplies, uplinks, and patch panel layouts
-
Follow step-by-step remote instructions accurately

Perform basic checks such as:

Checking link lights
-
Verifying port mapping
-
Reseating cables
-
Verifying labels
-
3. Rack & Stack
-
Rack mount and unmount network devices
-
Patch and neatly dress cables
-
Coordinate with remote engineers for installation verification
4. Basic Configuration (Only as Instructed)

Connect console and enable remote access
-
Execute approved copy-and-paste command steps
-
Apply basic configuration (e.g., management IP/VLAN) only when explicitly approved

Experience
