    Role Overview

    You’re responsible for directly selling agricultural equipment and machinery to farmers and agri-businesses. This is a field-based sales role requiring strong customer engagement, technical knowledge, and the ability to drive revenue through new and repeat business.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Sales & Customer Engagement

    • Engage with farmers to understand their equipment needs.

    • Demonstrate machinery and explain features/benefits.

    • Close sales and meet/exceed monthly targets.

    • Offer tailored solutions based on customer operations.

    2. Lead Generation & Market Development

    • Visit farms and attend events to generate leads.

    • Leverage leads from workshop & spares teams.

    • Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.

    • Refer leads for spares and maintenance to internal teams.

    3. Product & Technical Knowledge

    • Stay updated on all Orchard Agri equipment: tractors, sprayers, mowers, harvesters, etc.

    • Attend product training and demos.

    • Understand trends, competitors, and innovations.

    4. After-Sales Support

    • Guide customers on usage, maintenance, and servicing.

    • Coordinate with workshop and support teams for delivery and servicing.

    • Address performance and warranty issues.

    5. Reporting & Admin

    • Maintain records of sales activities and client interactions.

    • Submit sales forecasts and reports to Sales Manager.

    • Ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • 3+ years in agricultural equipment or similar sales.

    • Matric required; a diploma/qualification in Sales, Agriculture, or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

    • Solid knowledge of agricultural practices, especially for fruit, nut, grape, berry, and citrus farming.

    Skills

    • Strong sales and negotiation ability.

    • Deep technical understanding of farming equipment.

    • Excellent communication & relationship-building skills.

    • Self-driven and organized.

    Other

    • Valid driver’s license required.

    • Willing to travel frequently.

    • Availability for occasional weekend/after-hours work.

    Remuneration

    • To be discussed (likely includes a base + commission/incentives).
