Job Title: Engineering Technician (Electrical and Civil)

Salary: R391,671 – R586,665 per annum (OSD – Occupation Specific Dispensation
Responsibilities:
Assist Engineers and Technologists in technical office, field, and workshop activities
Promote safety and compliance with statutory and regulatory engineering standards
Review and evaluate engineering manuals, drawings, and procedures to incorporate new technologies
Prepare and submit technical designs and specifications for evaluation and approval
Contribute to budgeting and operational planning processes
Maintain engineering databases and project documentation
Supervise and manage technical teams and assets
Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with new engineering practices
Conduct research and liaise with professional bodies on engineering matters
Qualifications:
National Diploma in Engineering (Civil or Electrical)
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification technical experience
(Proof will be required from shortlisted candidates)
Valid driver’s license
Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician
Candidates registered as Candidate Engineering Technologists may also apply
Skills & Knowledge Required:
Project management and technical design expertise
Knowledge of legal compliance in engineering practices
Proficiency in computer-aided engineering applications
Research and development capabilities
Strong report writing and documentation skills
