Project Objective
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a qualified electrical contractor to perform an electrical assessment, inspection, and testing of the electrical installations at Jacobsdal Clinic and issue a valid Certificate of Compliance (CoC).
The objective is to ensure that the clinic’s electrical systems comply with applicable safety regulations and standards.
CIDB Requirement
Mandatory CIDB Grading
- CIDB Grade: 2 EB or higher
EB refers to Electrical Engineering Works – Building.
Only contractors with a valid CIDB 2 EB or higher grading are eligible to bid.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be required to:
- Conduct a comprehensive electrical inspection.
- Perform electrical testing of installations and systems.
- Identify defects, non-compliance issues, and safety risks.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Prepare a detailed assessment report.
- Issue a valid Certificate of Compliance (CoC) where requirements are met.
Technical Requirements
Contractors must demonstrate the ability to:
- Conduct electrical compliance inspections.
- Test electrical installations in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act)
- Electrical Installation Regulations
- SANS electrical standards
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
Skills and Experience Required
Bidders should have:
- Proven experience in electrical inspections and testing.
- Experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments (advantageous).
- Qualified and certified electrical personnel.
- Ability to issue Certificates of Compliance (CoCs).
- Strong technical reporting skills.
