The Free State Provincial Government seeks to appoint a visionary and results-driven individual to the position of Director: Delivery Intervention. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically managing, coordinating, and reporting on high-impact special service delivery operations initiated by the Premier, with the objective of ensuring service delivery excellence across the province.
This is a critical role in driving government responsiveness, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring interventions in distressed service delivery areas are executed with professionalism, speed, and impact.

Minimum Requirements:
A recognised NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Management, Business Management, or Project Management.
A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
At least 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level, preferably in a public sector environment.
Proven track record in:
Service delivery improvement
Large-scale project management
Stakeholder engagement at a senior level
Successful completion of the DPSA SMS Pre-Entry Certificate is compulsory.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight of Premier’s Service Delivery Operations
Design and implement strategies to coordinate special delivery operations initiated by the Premier.
Evaluate and report on the impact and outcomes of service delivery interventions across the Free State Province.
Represent the province at national and provincial forums, providing updates on project progress and challenges.
Ensure effective implementation of service delivery injunctions, and coordinate departmental referrals and follow-ups.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with national, provincial, and local government stakeholders.
Coordinate service delivery task team meetings across municipalities.
Facilitate problem-solving and intervention strategies between service providers and government.
Develop and maintain effective communication systems for stakeholder engagement.
Technical & Professional Services Coordination
Implement capacity-building initiatives in distressed projects.
Coordinate technical support and monitor its effectiveness and impact.
Provide strategic advice for rapid response interventions.
Resource & Team Management
Oversee budget planning and expenditure control within the Directorate.
Lead and manage staff, including:

Performance reviews
Skills development and training
Provide strategic leadership and support to staff aligned to organisational objectives.
