Responsibilities:
Develop and implement labour relations policies and strategies
Manage misconduct, grievance, and dispute resolution processes
Advise management on disciplinary, grievance, and dispute procedures
Represent the department in conciliation, arbitration, and union negotiations
Facilitate disciplinary hearings and ensure implementation of arbitration awards
Conduct information sessions for senior management on labour relations
Manage staff, assets, and budgets within the sub-directorate
Ensure compliance with Public Service regulations
Submit monthly and quarterly progress and technical reports
Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate
Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Labour Law, Labour Relations, or Human Resources with Industrial Relations
3–5 years’ experience at junior or middle management level in a labour/employee relations environment
Certificates in Investigating Officer and Presiding Officer (advantageous)
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
