Salary: R325,101 per annum (Basic Salary)
Responsibilities:
Develop articles and content for departmental publications to support effective external communication
Produce content for digital media to keep stakeholders and the public informed of current developments
Coordinate and manage departmental events, focusing on promoting the image of the Department and profiling the MEC
Support the production and upkeep of departmental branding materials and corporate identity
Collaborate with the Media Liaison Officer on parliamentary communications and media engagements
Facilitate the development and distribution of public relations and communication materials
Ensure quality assurance of all external communication content
Build, manage, and maintain strategic relationships with media houses and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
A relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Media, or related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a communications environment
Knowledge of the following is essential:
Departmental Communication Strategy
Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)
Treasury Regulations
Public Service Regulations
