The Free State Department of Education invites applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Practitioner at the Bloemfontein Autism School. This is a critical role requiring a qualified and experienced professional nurse to manage the on-site clinic, provide day-to-day medical support, and monitor the health and well-being of learners with special needs.

Responsibilities:
Manage and operate the school clinic independently.
Assess and treat medical conditions presented by learners.
Dispense medication and provide long-term medical support.
Admit new learners presenting with serious health issues.
Escort and refer learners to hospitals when necessary.
Monitor long-term medication regimens, including ARV control.
Provide health education on topics such as family planning, HIV/AIDS, and general wellness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
A Basic qualification accredited by SANC (Government Notice 425) – e.g., Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
Post-basic nursing qualification (minimum 1 year), accredited by SANC in terms of Government Notice R212, in the relevant specialty.
Preferred:
Clinical Nursing Practitioner with Primary Health Care (PGS course).
Degree qualification will be an added advantage.
Valid driver’s license.
