    Minimum Requirements

    To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Education: A Degree in Clinical Medical Practice
    • Professional Registration: Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa HPCSA as a Clinical Associate
    • Experience: At least two 2 years of appropriate experience after HPCSA registration
    • Specialized Knowledge: Experience in HIV or AIDS programs
    • Drivers License: A valid South African drivers license

    Knowledge and Skills Required

    The ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

    • Knowledge of HIV or AIDS Policies and Guidelines – Ability to work with HIV or AIDS programs in line with national health standards
    • Computer Literacy – Proficiency in basic computer programs for reporting and administrative tasks
    • Medical Male Circumcision Training – Experience or training in conducting voluntary medical male circumcision VMMC

    Key Responsibilities

    As a Clinical Associate, you will be responsible for:

    • Patient Care – Conducting patient history assessments and performing physical examinations according to training and medical protocols
    • Medical Male Circumcision MMC – Performing voluntary medical male circumcisions as part of the departments HIV or AIDS prevention strategy
    • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures – Ordering and conducting diagnostic tests and basic therapeutic procedures for common conditions
    • Mens Health Services Promotion – Educating and promoting mens health services to the community
    • HIV or AIDS Prevention Strategies – Participating in HIV or AIDS awareness and marketing strategies to encourage prevention
    • Monitoring and Reporting – Evaluating VMMC services and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation
    • Resource Utilization – Ensuring effective and efficient use of available medical resources
