    The Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport – Fleet Management is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to fill Cleaner vacancies across various locations in the Free State. These roles are critical to maintaining clean and safe working environments within public service facilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Clean offices, corridors, storerooms, boardrooms, elevators, and meeting rooms.

    • Dust surfaces, remove waste, provide water during meetings, and refill aqua coolers.

    • Wash walls, windows, general kitchen utensils, and polish floors.

    • Scrub toilets and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning equipment.

    • Keep stock and maintain cleaning materials and equipment.

    • Ensure toilets are supplied with toilet paper and maintain general hygiene standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.

    Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:

    • Basic literacy and numeracy (ability to read and write).

    • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials, and procedures.

    • Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and Batho Pele Principles.

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure and perform manual labour.

    • Teamwork, customer service orientation, punctuality, and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
