The department is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as Chief Director: Districts and Institutions. This senior-level role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and coordination of integrated developmental social services at district level and ensuring the effective management of departmental institutions across the Free State Province.

Salary:
R1 494 900 per annum (Level 14), all-inclusive package.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership in managing and facilitating social service delivery across districts and institutions
-
Coordinate service integration and delivery models at local and institutional levels
-
Oversee and monitor district performance in social welfare, community development, and financial management
-
Manage the implementation of the Department’s partnership strategy
-
Facilitate the District Development Model across the department
-
Empower, manage, and lead staff effectively
-
Ensure compliance with PFMA and public service regulations
Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 Certificate
-
A recognised NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Administration, Administration Management, or equivalent
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior managerial level in administration
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela), as offered by the National School of Government (NSG)
