    Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic and academic leadership in the Division of Public Health.

    • Manage administrative, personnel, and academic responsibilities as Head of Department.

    • Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with university goals.

    • Lead curriculum development and ensure quality teaching and learning.

    • Facilitate postgraduate teaching in Public Health and research methodology.

    • Supervise master’s and doctoral students and contribute to scholarly research.

    • Present research at national and international conferences.

    • Manage departmental finances and support staff in grant applications.

    • Represent the division in faculty and university management structures.

    Qualifications:
    For Associate Professor:

    • PhD in Public Health (NQF Level 10).

    • At least 3 years of research management and leadership experience in higher education.

    • National recognition for expertise and research leadership.

    • Experience in postgraduate supervision and curriculum development.

    • Record of publication in accredited national and international journals.

    • Evidence of attracting research/training grants.

    For Professor (in addition to the above):

    • Proven international recognition and leadership in Public Health.

    • Successful supervision of both master’s and preferably doctoral students.

    • Experience delivering keynote addresses and serving on international academic committees.

    • NRF rating or demonstrable potential for rating.
