    Job Description

    The Support Technician will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot desktop and Point of Sale (POS) equipment for various clients. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction, retain clients, and ensure profitability while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities include on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Address all customer queries within SLA time frames.

    • Maintain high first-time-fix rates and low recall rates.

    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

    • Proactively manage allocated service calls.

    • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

    • Manage and maintain sufficient boot stock for service calls.

    • Complete administrative tasks within set time frames.

    • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktop and POS equipment.

    Requirements

    • Education: Matric; A+ and N+ qualifications required.

    • Experience:

      • 2 years maintaining IT equipment.

      • 1 year experience with desktop equipment.

      • Experience with POS equipment is advantageous.

    • Skills:

      • Mechanical and electronic skills.

      • Soldering skills.

      • Fault-finding techniques.

    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

    • Must reside in Bloemfontein for daily travel to client sites.
