Position Overview:
The Onsite Mid-Tier Engineer plays a crucial role within our Professional Services team, providing hands-on IT support directly at client sites. This dynamic and fast-paced role involves supporting a wide range of user environments, often dealing with urgent or complex issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, professionalism, patience, and the ability to communicate effectively with end users and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite desktop and infrastructure support to clients.

Administer user accounts, passwords, and permissions using Active Directory.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Resolve issues related to Microsoft Outlook, Office Suite, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

Identify and remediate LAN/WLAN connectivity issues.

Troubleshoot and support Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Access Points.

Follow predefined support procedures and escalate complex issues to the Operations Manager when necessary.

Maintain accurate incident documentation and steps taken to resolve issues.

Support various client environments and adapt quickly to changing infrastructure.

Stay up to date with technology trends and recommend relevant improvements to clients.

Deliver support within SLA timeframes and maintain high standards of service.

Perform after-hours support and overtime work when required.
Skills & Competencies:

Technical Proficiency: Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows OS, Office Suite, networking, Exchange/O365, and Azure.

Qualifications:
Required:

Grade 12 (Matric)

CompTIA A+ and N+

Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
