The Club-V Attendant plays a key role in creating a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children while their parents use the Virgin Active facility. This position is focused on delivering exceptional child engagement by entertaining, educating and supervising children through structured activities, games and themed programmes. The role also involves maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards, managing access control systems, and ensuring the Club-V area operates smoothly and professionally at all times.
You will contribute directly to making exercise irresistible for families—ensuring every child feels welcomed, stimulated and cared for, and every parent feels confident in the safety and quality of the service.
Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To create a welcoming, joyful and stimulating environment for children.
To entertain, educate and engage Club-V members through physical play, creative activities and themed programmes.
To maintain a clean, hygienic and safe space at all times.
To nurture babies and toddlers with warmth, attention and care.
Key Responsibilities
Child Engagement & Activities
Interact actively and positively with children of various ages.
Lead physical games, creative crafts and educational activities.
Follow the monthly activity roster and execute themed programmes.
Plan activities in advance and deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm.
Safety, Security & Access Control
Manage the electronic access and exit of children entering and leaving the Club-V facility.
Ensure all access cards are valid and contain correct member information.
Enforce the 2-hour attendance rule consistently.
Adhere to emergency procedures and operational safety standards.
Operational Support
Keep full control of the Club-V environment and maintain order.
Report all incidents immediately to the Manager on Duty (MOD) or Club-V Coordinator.
Manage stock such as toys, books, craft items and consumables, using the Mntwana Box checklists.
Uphold Virgin Active’s cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
Clear criminal record
Current First Aid certification
Up-to-date Club-V and Active Play in-house training
Love and affinity for children
Ability to entertain and engage children confidently
Physically able to conduct games and active play
Willingness to learn and implement new junior programmes
