Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse, your duties will include:
- Provide professional clinical services at the Primary Health Care Clinic.
- Deliver quality patient care according to professional nursing standards.
- Record and maintain accurate clinical notes using the electronic medical system.
- Assist with first aid services during sporting events held on campus.
- Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external healthcare stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Nursing Diploma or Degree in General Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Midwifery, and Community Nursing.
- A Post Basic Diploma or Degree in Primary Healthcare.
- A Dispensing Certificate.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a Primary Health Care clinic environment.
- The ability to travel independently to and from the healthcare facility.
Recommended Qualifications and Experience
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- HIV Testing and Counselling Certificate.
- NIMART training.
- Knowledge of PrEP and PEP.
- Dispensing Licence.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Experience working with young adults or university students.
