Job Description
Clicks is looking for a Pharmacist Assistant to provide pharmaceutical care services within their scope of practice and support the daily operations of the dispensary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining accurate stock and dispensary administration, assisting with medicine repacking and compounding, providing general health advice, and ensuring that housekeeping and merchandise presentation standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care services within the applicable scope of practice.
- Deliver high standards of customer service and patient care.
- Perform efficient dispensary administration.
- Manage stock effectively and accurately.
- Assist with the repacking of medicines.
- Perform accurate compounding.
- Provide general health advice to customers within the appropriate scope.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the dispensary.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed according to company standards.
- Follow Clicks’ Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with relevant pharmacy legislation and professional requirements.
- Perform additional duties as required by operational needs.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all pharmacy-related activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics – Essential.
- Must meet the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) requirements applicable to the relevant Pharmacist Assistant level.
- Applicants may qualify at Qualified, Post Basic or Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant level, subject to the applicable requirements.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of health aisle and OTC products.
- Knowledge of South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) requirements and relevant legislation.
- Customer-service orientated.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
