Job Description / Purpose of the Position:
The Owner Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining their vehicle in good working condition. The role requires compliance with all relevant regulations, effective route planning, accurate documentation, and strong communication with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements

Minimum 4+ years driving experience.

Driver’s license must be 6+ years old.

Must be 30 years or older.

Ability to read, write, and speak clearly.

Previous experience in a courier/logistics company.

Basic technology knowledge; must have a smartphone.

Preferably own your own vehicle (not compulsory).

Knowledge of route planning.

Understanding of customer service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

Maintain vehicle in good working condition; inspections, servicing, and repairs.

Operate vehicle safely, complying with traffic laws.

Ensure proper safety features are used.
2. Compliance & Documentation

Comply with industry regulations, licensing, permits, insurance, and taxation.

Keep accurate records of work: invoices, receipts, logbooks, etc.
3. Customer Service & Communication

Provide punctual, courteous, and professional service.

Maintain customer satisfaction through reliable service.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and stakeholders.
4. Financial & Time Management

Manage finances: budgeting, invoicing, tracking expenses, ensuring prompt payment.

Plan routes and schedules efficiently to maximize productivity.
5. Adherence to Industry Standards

Follow industry-specific standards, such as freight handling or safety protocols.
