Job Description / Purpose of the Position:
The Scale Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, installing, and servicing retail scales and related equipment while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. The role involves providing technical support, strengthening customer relationships, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting stock and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements for weights and measures.

Customer Service: Maintain and strengthen relationships through installations, repairs, servicing, deliveries, and product training.

Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote assistance for company products.

Administration: Assist with stock counts, office tasks, and updating policies/procedures.

Flexibility: Work overtime when required to meet operational needs.
Requirements / Qualifications:

Matric Certificate required.

Valid driver’s license.

Own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable).

Minimum 1 year FMCG experience; 2+ years preferred.

Technical proficiency with retail scales, weights, and measures.
Skills:

Microsoft Office 365, POS software, basic computer literacy.

Strong sales, customer relations, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma in Business Management.

Certification as a Qualified Verification Officer.
Technical Expertise:

Software: SLP, POS systems, Microsoft Office 365.

Industry Knowledge: Retail scales, weights, and measures compliance.
