    IIE Rosebank College, part of Africa’s leading private education provider (ADvTECH), is seeking a motivated and skilled Digital & Academic Literacy Lecturer to join their Bloemfontein campus.     Job Purpose

    The Lecturer will deliver Digital & Academic Literacy modules, prepare students for assessments, identify and support at-risk students, and assist with module tracking and academic result analysis. The role also involves contributing to academic development and ensuring high standards in teaching and learning practices.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Teaching & Learning

    • Deliver engaging lectures in line with module-specific requirements and pacers.

    • Manage academic resources and liaise with the Information Centre for materials.

    • Update Learning Management Systems (LMS) and provide timely feedback to students.

    Assessment & Student Support

    • Prepare students for assessments and develop assessment tools according to Central Academic Team guidelines.

    • Identify at-risk students and provide interventions to enhance learning outcomes.

    • Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions, escalating concerns when necessary.

    Academic Administration & Quality Assurance

    • Assist the Programme Coordinator in tracking and analysing academic results.

    • Participate in faculty academic meetings and contribute to module evaluation.

    • Reflect on and review student performance to ensure continuous improvement.

    Professional Development

    • Complete the required academic professional development activities per academic cycle.

    • Engage in initiatives that improve teaching practices and personal academic expertise.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Digital & Academic Literacy.

    • Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) is an advantage.

    Experience

    • 1–2 years lecturing experience.

    • 2–3 years relevant industry experience in digital literacy, education, or academic support.

    Key Competencies

    • Knowledge of South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.

    • Understanding of teaching and learning theories and interventions.

    • Ability to provide student support and guidance.

    • Comfortable with digital learning platforms and able to learn new technologies.

    • Adaptable in a dynamic academic environment.

    • Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

    • Able to work under pressure and adhere to institutional regulations.

    Working Hours

    Part-time, depending on modules assigned and the academic timetable.
