The project requires the safe handling, transportation, and placement of sensitive laboratory and office equipment while ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory and administrative operations.
Purpose of the Tender
To appoint a professional relocation company capable of:
- Safely moving laboratory equipment and office furniture.
- Preventing damage to sensitive scientific equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare and laboratory safety standards.
- Completing the move within the required timeframe.
- Supporting the operational continuity of NHLS services.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for:
Furniture Relocation
Moving various office furniture items, including:
- Office desks
- Chairs
- Filing cabinets
- Shelving units
- Cupboards
- Safes
- Workstations
Laboratory Equipment Relocation
Transporting specialized laboratory equipment such as:
- Incubators
- Centrifuges
- Safety cabinets
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Laboratory storage units
- Fire extinguishers
- Other laboratory apparatus and consumables
Logistics and Transport
- Packing and securing all items.
- Loading and unloading equipment.
- Transportation to the new facility.
- Placement of furniture and equipment at designated locations.
- Provision of all labour, transport vehicles, and handling equipment required for the move.
Key Technical Requirements
The appointed service provider must:
- Follow approved laboratory equipment handling procedures.
- Ensure safe transportation of sensitive equipment.
- Provide sufficient manpower and equipment.
- Prevent damage, contamination, or loss during the move.
- Comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Submit a detailed pricing schedule.
- Complete the relocation according to NHLS requirements and timelines.
