    Job Title: LOGIS Training Officer

    Company Overview:
    The Free State Provincial Treasury is a strategic arm of the provincial government, committed to sound financial management, capacity building, and operational excellence across departments. As part of its mission to enhance service delivery and compliance through modern systems, the Treasury is looking to appoint a qualified LOGIS Training Officer to support and strengthen logistics management across provincial institutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide LOGIS system training to provincial department officials to ensure competent users

    • Assist in the development and updating of training manuals and materials

    • Offer support and guidance to personnel and salary controllers on LOGIS-related queries

    • Interpret and disseminate information on LOGIS circulars, practice notes, and table updates

    • Coordinate training logistics such as scheduling, venue preparation, and material distribution

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant NQF Level 6 or higher qualification in:

      • Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Management, Financial Management, or related field

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ clerical experience in all functional areas of LOGIS

    • Completion of LOGIS 1 course

    • Knowledge of key legislation and systems, including:

      • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

      • Treasury Regulations and National Treasury Circulars

      • LOGIS prescripts

      • Public Service Act and Public Service Regulations

    Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills

    • Excellent communication and reporting abilities

    • Focus on customer service and support

    • High level of computer literacy

    Benefits:

    • Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07) – basic salary

    • Eligible for government employee benefits, including pension and medical aid (as applicable)
