Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of a sales team within the Bloemfontein Life office. The role requires a strong background in life assurance sales, combined with leadership and management expertise.
You will:
- Manage team performance
- Ensure training and development of representatives
- Drive growth through strategic planning and market expansion
- Maintain compliance with all relevant financial regulations
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit high-quality insurance representatives
- Train and develop team members
- Manage and monitor team performance
Sales & Business Performance
- Ensure achievement of insurance sales targets
- Drive productivity and efficiency within the team
- Implement strategies to improve performance
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to:
- FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act)
- FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act)
- LTIA (Long-Term Insurance Act)
- Monitor regulatory compliance
- Manage business risks
Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities
- Expand market presence
- Build and maintain client relationships
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- FAIS-recognised qualification (as per FSCA requirements)
- RE5 certificate (required)
- RE1 certificate (advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing/sales of life assurance
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Experience in managing or leading a team
