Job Description
The General Worker – Deli will perform general duties to support the daily operations of GWK Retail in Luckhoff. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with loading and offloading stock, supporting stock control and providing customer service.
This is an entry-level position suitable for a hardworking, reliable and service-oriented individual who can perform physical tasks and contribute to the smooth running of the retail premises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Maintaining general tidiness and cleanliness of the premises.
Performing cleaning duties and general housekeeping.
Loading and offloading stock when required.
Assisting customers and suppliers with stock handling in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Supporting stock control activities.
Providing friendly and helpful customer service.
Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Taking initiative to improve the cleanliness and efficiency of the workplace.
Ensuring that assigned tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
Ability to load and offload stock.
Ability to perform physically demanding manual work.
Understanding of cleanliness, housekeeping and stock control.
Good customer service skills.
Willingness to perform general duties as required.
Previous work experience is advantageous but is not specified as a compulsory requirement.
