Eskom is seeking a qualified Artisan Electrical HV Plant to join its Southern Grid team based in Dealesville, Free State. This permanent position offers an opportunity to work on high-voltage (HV) plant equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the national electricity transmission network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-voltage plant and associated equipment while adhering to strict safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
As an Artisan Electrical HV Plant, you will:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high-voltage plant equipment.
- Assist with operating activities under supervision.
- Conduct inspections on electrical plant and associated infrastructure.
- Carry out condition monitoring and non-outage-related maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support document and configuration management processes.
- Contribute to the reliability and availability of transmission assets.
- Follow maintenance schedules and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Trade Certificate (NQF Level 4) with 120 credits.
- Completed practical training relevant to the trade.
Required Knowledge
The successful candidate should possess:
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling.
- Technical knowledge relating to high-voltage electrical plant.
- Basic computer literacy and software knowledge.
- Understanding of maintenance procedures and electrical systems.
