Job Description
Qpro Feeds is looking for a General Worker to support the Warehouse department with the movement, receiving, picking, loading and control of final warehouse stock. The successful candidate will also assist with stock administration and ensure that warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, safely and in a clean environment.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an agricultural environment.
- Ability to work shifts.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure housekeeping is completed before and after each shift.
- Ensure all required daily documentation is printed and available.
- Conduct and communicate shift handovers.
- Perform daily stock counts at the start of each morning shift.
- Verify incoming stock, including:
- Correct product type and packaging.
- Quantities received.
- Quality of bagging and intact slings.
- Visibility of pallet barcodes.
- Expiry dates.
- Move pallets into the warehouse storeroom.
- Scan pallet labels into the allocated storage bins.
- Verify that the correct pallet numbers are picked using pallet barcodes.
- Move picked pallets to the loading area and keep pallets for each load together.
- Check product integrity before loading vehicles.
- Verify the correct product and quantities before loading.
- Conduct quality checks on final products during receiving, storage and vehicle loading.
- Complete daily control sheets and registers relevant to the position.
- Support efficient and effective warehouse operations while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
