     Job Description

    This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and growing a banking channel within the Private Banking and Advisory environment.

    The role focuses on:

    • Driving revenue growth
    • Managing client portfolios
    • Overseeing budget and cost efficiency
    • Leading teams and stakeholders
    • Delivering high-level client service strategies

    You will act as a strategic leader, ensuring the channel performs profitably while maintaining strong client relationships and operational excellence.

     Key Responsibilities

     1. Revenue Growth & Business Development

    • Grow existing client portfolios
    • Acquire new high-value clients
    • Achieve revenue and profitability targets

     2. Financial & Budget Management

    • Manage cost-to-income ratio
    • Control budgets and expenses
    • Improve operational efficiency

     3. Client & Service Strategy

    • Build a strong service-driven culture
    • Ensure exceptional client experience
    • Strengthen long-term client relationships

     4. Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborate with:
      • End-users
      • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
      • Project Managers
      • Senior leadership
    • Maintain strong internal and external relationships

     5. Strategic Planning & Leadership

    • Advise on sales and performance targets
    • Participate in budget planning and presentations
    • Lead and guide teams toward achieving business goals

     6. Product & Market Expertise

    • Maintain deep knowledge of:
      • Banking and investment products
      • Pricing structures
      • Application and processing timelines
    • Use this knowledge to drive channel performance

     Minimum Requirements

     Qualifications

    • NQF Level 8 qualification (e.g.):
      • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning
      • BCom Honours (Investment / Risk Management)

     Experience

    • 8–10 years experience in:
      • Banking
      • Investment
      • Wealth management
      • Financial planning
    • At least 4 years in a leadership role

     Certifications (Advantageous)

    • FAIS Fit and Proper status
    • RE5 (Regulatory Exam for Representatives)
    • RE1 (Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals)

     Additional Requirements

    • Must pass a credit record check (as per National Credit Act)
