Sales Assistant – GALXBOY
GALXBOY is looking for a motivated and fashion-forward Sales Assistant to join its team in Bloemfontein, Free State. This role plays a crucial part in delivering an outstanding in-store experience, driving sales, and representing one of South Africa’s boldest streetwear brands. The successful candidate will assist customers, maintain visual merchandising standards, and contribute to the store’s daily operations.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service
-
Welcome and assist customers with product selections and recommendations

Apply upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize sales performance

Understand and promote various payment options, including PAYFLEX and Happy Pay
-
Maintain professional appearance and represent brand standards on the sales floor
Visual Merchandising
-
Organize and present products according to VM guidelines
-
Tag, price, fold, steam, and replenish merchandise daily
-
Maintain an engaging and clean display environment
Stock Management
-
Monitor and replenish sales floor stock
-
Receive deliveries and organize stockroom efficiently
-
Provide feedback to managers on inventory performance and best sellers
Store Operations & Housekeeping

Ensure accurate processing of transactions at POS

Adhere to roster schedules, clocking procedures, and attendance protocols

Maintain overall store cleanliness, including sweeping, display upkeep, and general tidiness
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Grade 12 required
-
Higher education in retail or business (Advantageous)
Skills & Experience:
-
1–2 years’ experience in a retail environment
-
Excellent customer service and communication skills
-
Computer literacy
-
Retail operations knowledge
-
Strong attention to detail and time management
-
Demonstrated leadership qualities are a plus
