- Auction Biosecurity Compliance: Develop and oversee a rigorous Auction Biosecurity Plan to ensure adherence to Biosecurity Rules for Livestock Agents.
- Legislation Enforcement: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including:

- Animal Identification Act 6 of 2002
- Stock Theft Act 57 of 1959

- Animal Documentation Verification: Validate documents for each animal in biosecure areas, confirming identity and health status.
- Controlled Access: Ensure only decontaminated individuals enter biosecure zones.
- Monitoring Suspicious Activity: Report any suspect animals or suspected theft to the local Stock Theft Unit (SAPS).
- Biosecure Area Maintenance: Clearly demarcate and manage biosecure zones with specific access points and protocol notices.
- Post-Auction Protocols: Coordinate the disinfection of biosecure areas post-auction.
