    The Free State Provincial Treasury is committed to promoting transparent, effective, and compliant procurement practices across the provincial administration. To strengthen its supply chain team, the department is recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented individual to serve as an Acquisition Practitioner. This role focuses on procurement administration, stakeholder engagement, and contract management in line with applicable legislation and frameworks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer the bid and procurement processes to ensure proper acquisition of goods and services.

    • Attend briefing sessions to communicate and share relevant supply chain management (SCM) information.

    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Oversee and administer procurement contracts in line with applicable prescripts and standards.

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant SCM regulations and legislation.

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant qualification at NQF Level 6 or higher in Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Management, Financial Management, or an equivalent field.

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supply chain management environment.

    • Solid knowledge of:

      • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

      • Supply Chain Management Regulations

      • Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and associated regulations

      • Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEEA)

    • Competencies in presentation, report writing, numeracy, communication, research methodology, and problem-solving.

    • Computer literacy is essential.

    Benefits:

    • R325 101 per annum (Level 07), basic salary.
