    Teaching and Learning Coordinator (Post Level 10/11)

    The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will support the implementation and coordination of academic development programmes within the faculty. The role focuses on managing tutorial support initiatives, monitoring tutor performance, coordinating teaching and learning interventions, and supporting staff development. The position also contributes to research, reporting, and collaboration with various academic stakeholders to improve student learning outcomes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and manage a blended learning academic tutorial support programme within the faculty.

    • Monitor and evaluate tutorial programmes in collaboration with the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with lecturers and academic stakeholders.

    • Track tutors’ academic and professional performance and coordinate tutor development initiatives.

    • Manage tutorial timetables and inspect teaching and learning facilities used for academic support programmes.

    • Oversee faculty tutorial budgets, tutor payments, and salary tracking.

    • Provide monthly financial reports on tutorial programme expenditure.

    • Contribute to research outputs related to teaching and learning initiatives.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to support teaching innovation and staff development programmes.

    • Facilitate training workshops and development sessions for tutors.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, B.Tech, or Postgraduate Certificate (NQF Level 7).

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in student academic development within a higher education environment.

    • At least 1 year of experience using Learning Management Systems.

    • Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) – advantageous.

    • Experience coordinating academic support programmes – advantageous.
