    Educational and Experience Requirements

    For these permanent nursing jobs, the following qualifications and experience are required:

    • Diploma/Degree in Nursing
    • Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

    Grade 1:

    • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Professional Nurse after registration with SANC is required.

    Grade 2:

    • Experience: A minimum of 14 years of experience as a Professional Nurse after registration with SANC, including at least 1 year of post-basic qualification in a specific specialty.

    • Managing Health Programmes: You will lead the implementation of key priority health programmes such as Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), patient complaints management, and Ministerial injunctions.     • Primary Health Care Re-engineering: One of your main duties will be to assist in re-engineering Primary Health Care (PHC) services in line with government policies.     • Providing Clinical Nursing Services: As part of your clinical role, you will provide comprehensive nursing treatment and care to patients. This includes performing clinical nursing practices according to your scope of practice and the health facility’s standards.
    • Compliance with Nursing Legislation: Your job will involve staying up-to-date with the latest nursing legislation and ethical practices, ensuring that all healthcare services are provided safely and professionally.
    • Resource Management: Another key responsibility will be managing the proper utilization of human, financial, and physical resources in the healthcare facility. This is vital in ensuring that healthcare services are delivered efficiently and sustainably.
