Job Purpose / Overview:
The Laboratory Superintendent will oversee and manage laboratory operations within the agricultural and food production sector, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role involves implementing, maintaining, and monitoring ISO 22000, HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP systems, conducting audits and interventions, and coordinating GMP and PRP programs. The Superintendent will work closely with departments to ensure consistent adherence to food safety protocols and regulatory standards while supporting personnel development and quality awareness.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure departmental compliance with HACCP, PRP, and ISO 22000:2018 standards.

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly value-added interventions, including Quality Awareness and Food Safety Talks.

Coordinate GMP and PRP control programs, implementing, maintaining, and reporting on their effectiveness.

Review critical control point (CCP) monitoring and verification records to ensure compliance with HACCP critical limits and frequencies.

Monitor, interpret, and report on inspection, measuring, and testing equipment (IMTE) results.

Maintain and monitor system documentation and quality records.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

B.Sc or National Diploma in Food Technology or Food Science (advantageous).

Knowledge of ISO 22000, ISO 22002, HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP.

At least 2 years’ experience in an FMCG environment with a focus on food safety.

Knowledge of the grain milling industry is advantageous.
