    Job Description

    The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting the services and value proposition of Raubex Academy, expanding business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting skills development initiatives within the Raubex Group and the broader construction industry.

    The role combines business development, relationship management, marketing, training coordination, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning to ensure the Academy’s growth and sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development and Growth

    • Promote the Academy’s training and development services.
    • Identify new business opportunities and market prospects.
    • Develop and implement business growth strategies.
    • Convert opportunities into sustainable business relationships.
    • Lead proposal development and negotiate business agreements.

    Relationship and Partnership Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Manage partnerships across the Raubex Group and external organisations.
    • Ensure high levels of stakeholder satisfaction and retention.
    • Strengthen collaboration with industry partners and clients.

    Training and Skills Development

    • Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) to identify skills gaps and development requirements.
    • Coordinate training requirements across the Raubex Group.
    • Develop cost-effective training solutions and schedules.
    • Compile and manage the Annual Raubex Group Training Calendar.

    Marketing and Brand Management

    • Develop and maintain marketing materials and promotional content.
    • Manage:
      • Marketing collateral
      • Website content
      • Social media platforms
    • Promote Academy programmes and initiatives.
    • Organise and participate in marketing events and industry exhibitions.

    Market Research and Strategy

    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Develop collaboration and partnership strategies.
    • Monitor industry developments within construction and training sectors.
    • Recommend improvements to increase programme uptake and market penetration.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with:
      • SETA bodies
      • Industry organisations
      • Internal stakeholders
    • Work closely with the Skills Development Practitioner.
    • Support compliance with training and skills development requirements.

    Reporting and Performance Management

    • Compile and present monthly performance reports.
    • Monitor business development activities and outcomes.
    • Analyse performance indicators and recommend improvements.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • Relevant qualification in:
      • Marketing
      • Sales
      • Business Management
      • Related field.
    • Strong computer literacy.

    Experience

    Relevant experience in one or more of the following:
