Tender Overview
Maluti-a-Phofung Water (SOC) Ltd is seeking qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of LED emergency lights and related electrical components. The tender supports the enhancement of water service infrastructure by ensuring reliable emergency lighting across offices, treatment plants, and operational sites.
Objectives
- Procure high-quality, durable, and compliant LED emergency lighting solutions
- Ensure safety, operational efficiency, and water-resistance for outdoor and indoor installations
- Promote timely supply, proper documentation, and compliance with technical specifications and municipal policies
Scope of Work
The supplier will be responsible for the procurement, supply, and delivery of:
- LED emergency lights: 5-foot and 4-foot, 240 VAC, with backup battery, water-vapour proof
- Outdoor solar-powered LED spotlights (400 watts) and solar flare LED lights (20 units)
- LED floodlights: 250W and 400W, mercury tubes (125W)
- Mechanical seals for pumps, flood light drills
- Wooden doors with hinges, ceiling boards, slip-resistant tiles
- Installation of gates and floodlights at designated sites
Delivery must be made to Maluti-a-Phofung Water offices and treatment plants within the contract period, complying with specifications and evaluation criteria.
Technical Requirements

- Suppliers must provide proof of quality assurance and adherence to safety requirements
Skills & Qualification Requirements
Suppliers should demonstrate:
- Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid summary report
- Valid Tax Compliance Status (PIN) and proof of municipal rates clearance
- CIDB grading of at least 1 GB (General Building)
- Company registration certificates reflecting active members
- Experience in supplying electrical and emergency lighting equipment
- Ability to meet delivery deadlines and provide after-sales support
- Compliance with municipal supply chain management and B-BBEE policies
