Job Description
As a Statistics Officer, you’ll work within the Institutional Research and Academic Planning division, using data to support planning, reporting, and university performance tracking. You’ll help transform raw data into insights that guide high-level decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support institutional research projects and data-driven decision-making
- Analyze and interpret data for university rankings
- Conduct trend analysis on survey and institutional datasets
- Coordinate statistical projects across departments
- Assist in compiling and sharing research reports
- Promote and manage the Cascade Reporting Platform
- Participate in departmental planning and strategy
Minimum Requirements
- Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Statistics
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
Recommended Experience
- 4+ years in South African higher education
- Knowledge of university systems, policies, and procedures
