Job Overview
The Crushing Engineering Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating operations on fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants in an open cast mining environment. The role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems and proven experience in mining plant operations.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee daily operations of crushing and screening plants.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and technical interventions.
- Lead and manage a team of operators and maintenance personnel.
- Monitor plant performance, production targets, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide plant operators and maintenance staff.
- Ensure crushing and screening plants operate efficiently.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor production output and quality.
- Enforce safety regulations and mining standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on plants.
- Report plant performance and incidents to management.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Trade Test in Electrical or Mechanical
- N3 Engineering Studies
Additional Qualifications (Advantageous)
- Wireman’s license
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants
- Experience in an open cast mining environment
- Proven technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems related to crushing plants
