     Job Overview

    Our client in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise large-scale warehousing and logistics operations in Bloemfontein.

    This role is responsible for overseeing the full warehouse function, including inventory management of stock exceeding R100 million and control of more than 10,000 SKUs. The successful candidate will lead a large, unionised workforce, ensure operational efficiency, maintain strict inventory control, and ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and legal standards.

    The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, analytical capability, and operational expertise to drive productivity, accuracy, cost control, and continuous improvement.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee all warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, distribution, and dispatch.

    • Manage and maintain inventory valued at over R100 million with high accuracy and minimal loss.

    • Control and monitor a stock file exceeding 10,000 SKUs.

    • Drive operational efficiency through process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Lead and manage a large, unionised workforce while maintaining strong employee relations.

    • Ensure compliance with collective agreements and sound industrial relations practices.

    • Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to safeguard stock integrity.

    • Monitor cost management and implement strategies to reduce waste and losses.

    • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations and legal requirements.

    • Oversee performance reporting, KPI tracking, and operational analytics.

    • Manage warehouse systems including WMS and ERP platforms.

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

     Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior warehouse and logistics management role.

    • Proven experience managing high-value inventory (R100 million+) and large SKU portfolios (10,000+ SKUs).

    • Demonstrated experience managing large, unionised teams.

    • Strong knowledge of industrial relations and collective agreements.

    • Valid Health, Safety, and Legal Compliance certifications.

    • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.

    • Excellent analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills.

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    • Valid Driver’s License.
