    Role Purpose

    To provide professional financial advice on a defined range of financial products to an allocated market. The role holder is individually accountable for achieving sales and service results through proactive customer engagement, needs analysis, and solution-driven financial advice.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Customer Service

    • Deliver high-quality service to customers.

    • Resolve complex customer queries and problems efficiently.

    • Identify opportunities for new business and customer retention.

    • Process cases accurately and within agreed service levels.

    2. Financial Solutions Analysis

    • Analyze customer needs and financial challenges.

    • Develop and recommend appropriate financial solutions.

    • Provide professional, compliant advice aligned with customer objectives.

    3. Customer Engagement

    • Receive and assist walk-in customers and scheduled visitors.

    • Refer complex matters to relevant specialists when required.

    4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

    • Capture and update customer interactions in the CRM system.

    • Schedule follow-ups and maintain structured call plans.

    • Ensure accurate data to support retention and business development.

    5. Customer Needs Clarification

    • Set clear objectives for sales meetings.

    • Tailor presentations to customer decision-makers.

    • Ask probing questions to assess interest and information gaps.

    6. Relationship Development & Prospecting

    • Build and manage relationships with potential and existing clients.

    • Identify key decision-makers and influencers.

    • Maintain effective two-way communication with customers.

    7. Business Development

    • Monitor sales and market trends within the assigned region.

    • Identify opportunities for growth and market penetration.

    • Represent Old Mutual at business and community events.

    8. Sales Opportunities Creation

    • Develop a personal professional network within the business sector.

    • Enhance the organization’s market visibility and reputation.

    • Gather market intelligence to support sales strategies.

    9. Compliance & Governance

    • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    • Obtain necessary approvals for any deviations from standard processes.

    10. Data Analysis & Market Insights

    • Conduct research and analyze market data.

    • Use business intelligence tools to identify trends and opportunities.
