    Objectives

    To appoint a qualified service provider to service, repair, and maintain all fire fighting equipment at Golden Gate Highlands National Park (GGHNP), ensuring all equipment is functional, compliant, and ready for emergency use.

    Scope of Work

    • Servicing, repair, and maintenance of fire fighting equipment across multiple buildings, including:
      • Fire extinguishers (9kg, 4.5kg, 2.5kg, 1kg)
      • Fire hydrants (75mm)
      • Hose reels
      • Fire detection and alarm systems
    • Replacement, recharge, and pressure testing of fire extinguishers
    • Supply and installation of fire safety signage, cabinets, fire blankets, and related accessories
    • Mandatory site visits for familiarization prior to submission of quotations

    Technical Requirements

    • Pressure testing and refilling of fire extinguishers with dry chemical powder (ammonium phosphate-based)
    • Servicing fire hydrants and replacing nozzles/pipes as required
    • Servicing fire detection and alarm systems in specified buildings
    • Installation of fire safety signage, fire blankets, hose reels, and hydrant components
    • All work must comply with required servicing and safety standards
    • Timely delivery of services and products within contract period

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Certification from the South African Qualification and Certification Committee (SAQCC) for fire equipment servicing
    • Demonstrated experience in servicing fire safety equipment in similar environments
    • Proof of CIDB grading (to demonstrate capability and experience)
    • Compliance with tax clearance and B-BBEE verification
    • Technical expertise in pressure testing, refilling, and installation of fire safety systems
    • Ability to deliver services within stipulated timeframe
