     Job Purpose

    To develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programs while executing community projects. This position is part of the New Generation of Academics (nGAP) initiative under the Staffing South Africa’s Universities Framework (SSAUF).

     Main Responsibilities

    Teaching & Learning

    • Deliver lectures in Environmental Management and Toxicology.

    • Assess and evaluate student performance.

    • Develop academic materials and learning resources.

    Research & Innovation

    • Conduct research and contribute to academic publications or innovations.

    Administration & Organization

    • Perform administrative tasks related to teaching and departmental responsibilities.

    • Ensure effective classroom management and student support.

    Community Service

    • Execute community engagement projects relevant to Environmental Health.

     Minimum Qualification & Experience

    • Master’s-level degree (MTech/MSc/NQF 9) in Environmental Health or related field.

    • Average of 70% or above in the highest degree.

    • Registration with the HPCSA.

    • At least 2 years teaching/lecturing or industry experience relevant to the subject field.

     Desired Qualification & Experience

    • Progress towards a Doctorate degree.

    • Recognized publication, research, innovation, or creative output.
