Job Purpose
The IT Lecturer is responsible for delivering Information Technology-related modules on a part-time basis. The role involves facilitating student learning, preparing academic materials, conducting assessments, and supporting departmental academic activities while maintaining the institution’s teaching quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Learning
-
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for assigned modules.

Facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences for students.

Prepare lecture notes, presentations, and supporting study materials.
-
Use appropriate teaching methods to enhance student understanding.
2. Assessment and Evaluation
-
Develop and administer assignments, tests, and examinations.
-
Mark and evaluate student assessments in line with academic policies.

Provide feedback to assist students in improving their academic performance.
3. Student Support
-
Identify and support at-risk students through academic guidance.

Provide consultation sessions for students requiring additional assistance.
4. Academic Administration
-
Maintain accurate records of attendance and student performance.

Participate in academic meetings and departmental activities.

Assist with administrative duties related to teaching and learning.
5. Quality Assurance
-
Ensure teaching and assessment practices comply with institutional policies.

Participate in internal moderation and academic quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

Honours Degree in:

Experience
