    The role is for an experienced Head Chef to lead a busy, high-quality kitchen. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong culinary portfolio, and can combine creativity with operational excellence. This is an international opportunity on a tropical island.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily kitchen operations: food preparation, cooking, and plating.

    • Develop, update, and innovate menus based on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.

    • Maintain quality standards for taste, presentation, and portion control.

    • Lead, train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to create a productive, positive environment.

    • Manage inventory, order supplies, and implement cost control to minimize waste.

    • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

    • Monitor kitchen performance and introduce improvements for efficiency and consistency.

    • Collaborate with management on specials, events, and menu launches.

     Minimum Requirements

    • Relevant culinary qualification or certification (Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts).

    • Relevant Chef & Pastry Certification is non-negotiable.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role (Sous Chef or higher).

    • Proven track record of managing a kitchen team and daily operations.

    • Practical experience portfolio demonstrating skills and creativity.

     Skills & Competencies

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

    • Creativity and flair in cooking and presentation.

    • Solid understanding of culinary techniques, ingredients, and trends.

    • Excellent food safety knowledge, hygiene standards, and HACCP compliance.
