    Job Purpose

    The Medical Data Review Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of clinical trial data, particularly within the field of Rheumatology. The role provides medical and scientific expertise, oversees data review activities, manages teams, and supports clinical studies from start to finish.

    The successful candidate acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborates with internal teams, sponsors, and clients to ensure high-quality clinical data and regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Clinical Data Review

    • Conduct in-stream data trend analysis.
    • Review patient data for protocol compliance.
    • Identify inconsistencies and data quality issues.
    • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulations.

    2. Data Quality and Integrity

    • Define data capture requirements based on study protocols.
    • Monitor clinical data quality throughout the study lifecycle.
    • Ensure compliance with Clinical Compliance and Systems Validation requirements.
    • Implement corrective actions when issues arise.

    3. Medical and Scientific Expertise

    • Provide medical, clinical, and scientific advisory support.
    • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Rheumatology.
    • Deliver therapeutic area training to project teams.
    • Support multidisciplinary clinical discussions.

    4. Project Management

    • Track project performance and metrics.
    • Identify root causes of operational issues.
    • Implement process improvements.
    • Manage competing priorities across multiple studies.

    5. Stakeholder Management

    • Maintain strong client and customer relationships.
    • Represent clinical data scientists at meetings.
    • Participate in:
      • Kick-off meetings
      • Weekly team meetings
      • Client meetings

    6. Team Leadership

    • Supervise and manage staff performance.
    • Guide professional development and coaching.
    • Address employee relations issues.
    • Approve HR-related actions where necessary.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Essential Education

    • Medical Degree (MD) or equivalent 5-year medical qualification.
    • Board Certified Rheumatologist (Required).
