    Tender Objective

    The objective of this tender is to appoint a professional service provider to develop comprehensive, compliant, and construction-ready civil engineering designs for water and sewer infrastructure servicing 188 residential sites in Bethulie. The designs must support efficient implementation, procurement, and sustainable human settlement development while complying with municipal, provincial, and national standards.

    Scope of Work

    The appointed service provider will be responsible for the full civil engineering design lifecycle, including:

    Stage 1 – Inception

    • Establish client requirements and project objectives

    • Assess user needs and constraints

    • Confirm scope and appoint relevant consultants

    Stage 2 – Concept and Viability

    • Develop project concepts and preliminary designs

    • Conduct viability and feasibility assessments

    • Finalise scope and concept approval

    Stage 3 – Design Development

    • Prepare detailed water and sewer designs

    • Develop technical specifications and cost estimates

    Stage 4 – Documentation and Procurement

    • Prepare tender and procurement documentation

    • Compile construction-ready drawings and schedules

    Technical Requirements

    The civil engineering designs must:

    • Comply with all municipal, provincial, and national standards

    • Include layout plans, specifications, and capacity calculations

    • Address environmental sustainability considerations

    • Be suitable for procurement and construction

    • Obtain all required stakeholder and authority approvals

    • Be completed within a 6-month project duration

    Skills and Capacity Requirements

    Experience
